Positive attitude – Although you rarely admit it, the world, as you see it, is nothing more than a mirror in which your inner state is reflected. That life is full of ups and downs is something that everyone knows. It does not matter who you are, how much money you have, or in what part of the world you are; living unpleasant experiences and situations to anyone can happen.
Taking a positive attitude towards the world will make you happier and make others happy with you. No matter what happens around you, try to see the positive side of situations and you will always find it. A person who thinks positively is not refusing to recognize the negative, but refusing to live with the negative and this habit helps you achieve what you want in life.
There are ways to acquire this good habit to have positive attitudes and thoughts , here we summarize them:
POSITIVE ATTITUDE CHANGE THE MENTALITY
Although at that moment you do not perceive it, each and every one of the situations that you live teach you something , even the negative ones . To be stronger, to know that in that way you have tried it does not work out, to love you more … Everything teaches you, everything influences you, and you are the one who ultimately decides when you look back what to remember of that experience.
FIND THE LESSON IN EVERYTHING
As well as concentrating on the good side of things, if you look for the lesson you can learn, then the situation, circumstance or danger takes on a completely new meaning.
You will begin by understanding that any situation you are facing right now will need you to face it in order to learn the lesson contained in that experience.
After all the lessons you learn to face the problems that arise you will grow and mature more each time improving your self-esteem and that you can use in your favor to achieve your goals.
FOCUS ON THE PRESENT
In my life I have gone through terrible things, some of which did happen. By this he meant the fact that you usually make the problems seem bigger than they really are, all this simply within the unconscious mind. How many times do you realize that what worries you does not end up happening at all? And in the worst case, does it end up not being a problem as serious as you thought? But by focusing on the present , you minimize your worries and fears about what might fail, which usually leads to negative emotions and thoughts.
CONCENTRATE ON THE SOLUTION
Every time a problematic situation appears to you, concentrate quickly on the solution, not on the problem. All the time you spend thinking about the problem will undermine your positive attitude toward solving it.
Concentrate on finding the solution to the problem and divide it into tasks that you can manage, plan the activities you must carry out to resolve the situation and act!
Smiling to life, to people, to events, will help your attitude to life and things to be positive. The smile is something that people usually return, and that feedback will feed your new way of seeing the world.
DEDICATE YOURSELF A FEW MINUTES A DAY
Sometimes, not having a minute for yourself, makes the person depressed, become a slave to the duties, and find it difficult to maintain a positive attitude. So that this does not happen, dedicate a few minutes a day to something that is pleasurable; a book, a bath, a little sport or personal care will suffice.
Value things as small as they seem
The small details are, usually those that fill the life with passion and illusion.
Try to enjoy every little detail as if it were the last, value it as it deserves.
Enjoy every second of life
Life is shorter than one thinks, according to those who are of a more advanced age. For this reason, we must try to enjoy each of the seconds that life offers, the Sun , the rain, moments with friends, family, love, etc. As if it were the last moment of life.
FEED YOUR SELF-ESTEEM
Having low self-esteem can make it difficult to have a positive attitude. If you start to have high self-esteem, you can see the world with more optimism.
PLAN YOUR DAILY GOALS
Apart from doing daily duties, when you get out of bed, think of something you would like to do, and try to do it, be positive.
Try a real goal for each day and try to fulfill it, in this way, you will feel rewarded and your attitude to the challenges will be more positive every time you see any of them fulfilled.
Depending on how we feel that way, we are going to interpret what we see or what happens to us. And this interpretation, more or less positive, will influence our attitude.
So, if I’m tired, disappointed, or nervous, my attitude will be reluctance, inaction, and most likely end complaining and talking about how difficult everything is.
Now, if I wake up the emotion of the illusion, my attitude will be affected immediately and it will be much more open, proactive and cheerful. A positive attitude Or if I wake up the emotion of love my attitude will be more kind, conciliatory, empathetic. Another positive attitude
Notice that I use the word wake up emotion. This is because the human being has the ability to generate emotions and learning to do it consciously will help us to be more in charge of our attitude.
In the Emotional Power Course we work with concrete ways to awaken more of the emotions we want and to put ourselves in charge of our emotional state. Emotion is the energy that moves us to move forward or to stay still, with which we create both harmony and discussions, and is therefore one of the most valuable tools available to human beings. Now, we have to learn to put them on our side.
If you want to create a positive, proactive, friendly or open attitude these are three of the emotional states that can serve you:
To create it, choose a person whom you love and express your affection in the way that is most natural to you. The important thing is that you let yourself feel and fill for love towards him or her.
To create it, think about giving a surprise to someone, at an event in the future that you want to arrive, at your preferred time of the day.
Put the best of you in everything you do, not so that it comes out, but in order to awaken personal satisfaction in you.
According to the researcher Carol Dweck there are two mentalities or ways of thinking: The Fixed Mindset and the Growth Mindset
From the Fixed Mentality, things are like that, I am like that and they do not go / I am going to change. Or at least I can not do anything to change it.
From the Mentality of Growth or Development, things are like that, but they do not have to remain that way. Can change.
In the case of oneself: we go from thinking, ” I am like that “, to thinking: ” even though I have been like this, I can grow or develop other forms of acting, of being .”
And this gives us power, since it is always possible to do something. It predisposes us to activate creativity, to see options, to take steps.
Hence, with the Growth Mindset our attitude becomes more proactive, optimistic. It becomes a positive attitude.
To develop a Growth Mindset:
- It gives more importance to learn than to do well
- Look for learning in mistakes and also in things that have gone well
- See challenges or difficulties as opportunities to develop skills and grow.
In order to feel more secure or confident we seek control.
This strategy, having the situation under control, or at least thinking that we have it under control, allows us to create an attitude of serenity and calmness. Hence, we seek to have more control over the situation better.
Now, by doing this, we inadvertently end up doing everything opposite and we turn our attention to what is not in our control, ie what others think, say or do . And the result is that we become frustrated or feel powerless.
Hence, if we want to awaken the tranquility that gives us control, we need to direct our attention to what is in our control. Ex: the attention of our mind, our behavior, our choices, our emotional state, our perspective, etc.
Finally, positive attitude in our work is as important to your professional career as training you continuously or practicing healthy habits to increase your productivity and not fall into the dreaded burn-out syndrome . The negativity within a team is contagious and, once a person begins to complain and be negative, the rest of the group can end up posting that label, we guarantee, is not anything positive. In addition, complaints and negativity only lead to negative emotions that end up directly impacting our productivity and, more importantly, our happiness.
