Playgrounds have been places of fun for hundreds of years. They are where children will gather with their friends to enjoy not only the equipment that has been put in place by a Playgrounds Cheltenham company such as https://www.greenfieldsltd.co.uk/services/playgrounds-and-parks but also to play games that seem to have been passed down through the generations. Here are some of them.
Tag – this is a game that most of us have played at one point or another. It involves one person being the tagger and chasing all the other members of the game around and trying to tap them on the shoulder. At this point the person that has been tapped becomes the tagger.
Stick in the mud – this is similar to tag in that one person is tagging the other players, but once they are tagged they have to stand still with their arms outstretched. The only way they can be freed is if another player either passes underneath their legs or underneath their arms.
Red Rover – this requires teams of people. The idea being that each member of the team needs to run from one end of the playground to another. The opposing team has players in the middle trying to stop them from getting over. If the person is tagged along the way they are out. Each player will take it in turn to try and get back to their team’s side.
